Antenna installation in Toorak

A customer had just settled in their new home in Toorak, two days earlier.

It was a brand new house build and the electrician had called us in for our expertise and quality work. Stuart, one of our best antenna technicians in Toorak, went to install the new antenna system to pre-installed cabling for the customer.

Firstly, he searched for the best signal possible on the roof as he had a choice of VHF from Mount Dandenong or UHF from the city transmitter. It was clear that for reliability and signal strength, a Matchmaster premium UHF antenna with built-in 50db 4g rejection filters directed towards the city transmitter was the best option, so he went for it. He then attached that antenna to a custom pole installed on the roof next to a satellite dish.

Taking into consideration that there were eight tv outlets in the house, he had to install a 24db Matchmaster amplifier to compensate for the loss of signal through the high quality eight way splitter. This will ensure adequate signal strength at each of the eight outlets. He went to the communications room located in the basement to install the eight way splitter and wire in the power supply that powers the amplifier. He used Foxtel-rated compression fittings as they have high standards and he was sure that the fitting will not fall off or accidentally be pulled out.

Finally, he tested all TV outlets in the new home ensuring there were no faults, and the system was operating correctly.
