Consistent TV Pixelation Cured In Hoppers Crossing

Today Mr Antenna attended a property in Hoppers Crossing where our customer Richard had complaints of consistent TV pixelation. We immediately tested the signal with one of our precision instruments to find that the TV signal strength and quality were satisfactory. Stuart then tested for 4G/LTE interference which can be quite invisible if you didn’t have the right field strength meter. As expected, the system was overwhelmed with 4G/LTE interference.

Our Antenna tech also found that the previous antenna installer had installed only 50cm of RG6 quad shield cable. Taken from a very old 1960s RG6 air space cable it does not have adequate shielding for digital TV reception.

So we decked out Richard with a new VHF digital antenna “ specific for Mount Dandenong “ with a built-in 4G/5G LTE filter. We also replaced his old cabling for RG6 quad shield cable to an internal wall as opposed to the old cable. Originally this ran from out of the ceiling. Post-installation tests presented a nice uniform signal with above standard signal quality and strength. It also displayed a massive 4G/5G Lte rejection thanks to our selection of Matchmaster antennas.
