How To Get Better TV Reception For Better Viewing Pleasure

Mr Antenna attended a job today for The Men’s Shed in Broadford. Finding adequate digital tv reception was not that straightforward. We eventually managed to locate a spot “Broadford bound” on the roof after spending a little bit of time scouring the roof.

Once the location for the antenna was sorted, we installed one of our UHF phased array panel antennas. Also installed, was a 34DB amplifier on a tin roof mount just to enhance the signal we were receiving from the local transmitter. Both the antenna and amplifier have 4G filtering which is crucial in rural areas due to the high 4G signal. The UHF digital tv reception lately is noticed to be quite low.

This was topped off with a conduit cable run to protect the RG6 coax cable from the elements and even from the Cockatoos that have been known to eat through coaxial cable. The guys at the men’s shed will no doubt be up to date with the football with this install.
