Dangar Island Antenna Installation Had Its Perils For Us
Today we had an unusual installation for a TV Antenna on Dangar Island. Why it is an unusual job because you cannot drive your car onto the island. The customer organised a water taxi for our antenna installer Craig to come across. He had to take everything he could think of including three different types of antennas, mast extensions and all the tools. He also carried amplifiers and splitters in a trolley across to Dangar Island. It was a five-minute water taxi ride to the island from Parsley Bay which the customer had kindly organised.
Upon arrival, our Antenna installer saw the house had a metal roof on which we used a tin roof mount to mount the premium antenna. This was done on a 1.2-meter mast with a masthead amplifier pointing towards the Sydney TV Antenna. The antennas showed power readings of 72 to 80 DB and Mer readings of 33 to 36DB on completion. The customer was extremely happy that he had free to air TV with all 60 digital TV channels.
The customer organised a water taxi ride back for me to Parsley Bay and overall the customer is extremely happy with the service and the quality of the antenna and the quality of the signal that he’s receiving now.
He said that he is going to recommend our services to other people on the island. The client was even happy enough to take our photo underneath the ‘Thank you for visiting Dangar Island’ sign. We hope to get the opportunity for another antenna installation here on Dangar Island.
