Fallen Antenna Requires A Quick Check By Our Tech

Slightly different job for Adelaide Mr Antenna tech Tony today. The customer’s existing tv antenna had fallen down and needed antenna repair/re-installing. The location in the eastern suburb of Dulwich meant we had very good tv signal reception, with a direct line of sight to the Crafers tv transmission towers very close by.

The fallen antenna was a good quality Matchmaster brand and had suffered no damage in the fall. Hence we could re-install with confidence that it would continue to provide good reception for many years into the future. Our antenna technician Removed the old chimney mounting hardware. Made sure to fill the holes left in the chimney stack where the anchor bolts had ripped loose.

Mounted the antenna on a new metal-roof bracket, behind the chimney. Re-aligned and checked the tv reception with a signal analyzer. The antenna was pulling in a whopping 80dB microvolts, with 100% on the BER & MER figures. A great result for our customer, with his existing antenna, checked for correct operation, securely back on the roof and performing perfectly.
