Antenna Installations can be a complex task with a lot of specific components requiring attention. Thus, we believe that a real scenario talking about what happens in an antenna installation might be something people may want to read.
This afternoon Mr Antenna, Henley Beach technician Tony was busy with a Digital Antenna installation. Located in the lakeside suburb of West Lakes Shore, the premise was a brick-walled new build with a tiled roof.
Tony installed a log-periodic design antenna made by local Australian TV Antenna manufacturers Matchmaster. This was installed on a two-piece gutter bracket, which is specifically designed to avoid tile penetrations, while anchored securely to the roof truss under the tiles. Cabled with RG6 quad shield coaxial cable and connected up to the existing Starserve Distribution unit in the garage.
To complete the job, with the help of a TV signal strength meter, we checked the customer’s FTA outlets. Signal level came in at around 65db microvolts, which is spot on the Australian Cabling Standards recommendation for FTA outlets. We also recorded good MER, BER, and C/N figures too.
Customers were very happy with the completion of their quality Digital Antenna installation by Mr Antenna. Mr Antenna also does antenna installations, tv points and data points in West lake shores and surrounding suburbs of West lakes, Semaphore Park, Tennyson, Grange and Royal Park, and throughout Adelaide.
